Hello there! My name is Mike, an 18-year-old Junior College student in Singapore.

I am very interested in political science, in particular the area of international relations. I have been delegating in several Model United Nations conferences like THIMUN Singapore 2017 and NTUMUN 2018. I also represented Singapore in Asian High School Chinese Debate Championship 2017. Currently, I am working on a research paper on 2018 China-United States trade war.

To me, it is always exciting to experience the world and interact with people. I like to work for social causes with others – my friends and I initiated a social entrepreneurial project called Project Puppies Are Waiting (P.A.W.) to raise funds and public attention for local animal shelters. I am also running a Chinese debate interest club for pre-tertiary students in Singapore.

During my free time, I enjoy reading and watching plays. My greatest interest is in drama and my favorite piece is called “Thunderstorm” by Chinese playwright Cao Yu. In addition to that, I have been acting in my school’s drama club for three years. I am currently a student director.

I started this blog in November 2018. I wish to share with you some stuff about international relations. My articles could be my opinion on things happening in international society, or introducing to you a particular concept related to international politics.

As a blogger, my goal here is to produce readable and insightful articles that will make my opinion heard or help my readers to understand a certain idea. As an aspiring IR student, my personal goal is to train the clarity of my thought and hone my language skills – eventually making progress in the art of writing decently.
